Retro Revival

Retro Revival

Welcome to my pages and home to general notes, links and random musing on the revival of my 2 favourite retro computers from the 8-bit (and then a whole 16!) era, the Sinclair ZX Spectrum and the Atari ST. I owned both of these brilliant computers in the 1980's/90's and they formed my ongoing love of tech, coding/scripting and of course gaming. Now, although I still enjoy revisiting the games, I have found a new interest in the maintenance and repair of these machines, bringing them back to life for future years of enjoyment. In my pages you can find details of tests to perform to check that they are working before you damage them by switching them on, tips on maintenance and modification tasks, and notes on my projects and some of the issues I encountered and hopefully(!) fixed.

If you are looking to maintain your own ZX Spectrum machine(s) or need a loved machine bought back to life, please visit my ZX Spectrum Shop where you can find the parts you need, or take advantage of my refurb service.

Please note that this is a work in progress and therefore several pages have placeholders. At the moment the ZX Spectrum pages are mostly live (with content being added all the time), whilst the Atari ST pages are all placeholders.
